W dniu 26 maja 2026 r. na Wydziale Nauk Inżynieryjnych Akademii Nauk Stosowanych w Nowym Sączu odbyła się prezentacja pracy inżynierskiej pt. „Physicochemical Characterization of Asbestos Waste from an Industrial Plant by SEM-EDS Analysis”, przygotowanej przez studenta Matei Crișan z Wydziału Inżynieryjnego Uniwersytetu „Vasilie Alescandri” w Bacau - Rumunia, zrealizowanej w semestrze letnim roku akademickiego 2025/2026 w ramach programu Erasmus+.

Praca została przygotowana pod kierunkiem prof. dr. hab. inż. Narcisa Barsana z Wydziału Inżynieryjnego Uniwersytetu „Vasile Alecsandri” w Bacău (Rumunia) oraz dr hab. inż. Grzegorza Przydatka, prof. ANS. Badania dotyczące określenia struktury oraz składu azbestu wykonano w Laboratorium Inżynierii Materiałowej pod nadzorem dr. hab. inż. Stanisława Pytela, prof. ANS.
W wydarzeniu uczestniczyli: Dziekan Wydziału Nauk Inżynieryjnych dr hab. inż. Iwona Wiewiórska, prof. ANS, Prodziekan Wydziału dr Monika Golonka, dr. hab. inż. Stanisława Pytela, prof. ANS, mgr inż. Artur Sławecki – wykładowca, Koordynator Programu Erasmus+ mgr Anna Polek, oraz studenci Wydziału Nauk Inżynieryjnych .
Podczas prezentacji student przedstawił wybrane zagadnienia pracy, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem:
- lokalnych uwarunkowań przemysłowych miasta Nowy Sącz oraz nagromadzenia wyrobów azbestowych,
- badań struktury i składu wybranych próbek azbestu z wykorzystaniem skaningowej mikroskopii elektronowej SEM-EDS.
Przedstawiona praca inżynierska zostanie w kolejnym etapie zaprezentowana i obroniona na Uniwersytecie „Vasile Alecsandri” w Bacău.
Presentation of an Engineering Thesis Completed at the Engineering Faculty under the Erasmus+ Programme
On 26 May 2026, the Engineering Faculty at the University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz hosted a presentation of the engineering thesis entitled “Physicochemical Characterization of Asbestos Waste from an Industrial Plant by SEM-EDS Analysis”, prepared by student Matei Crișan from the Engineering Faculty of the “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău (Romania), and completed during the summer semester of the 2025/2026 academic year as part of the Erasmus+ programme.
The thesis was prepared under the supervision of Prof. Ph.D. Eng. Narcis Barsan from the Engineering Faculty of the “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău (Romania) and Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Eng. Grzegorz Przydatek, and. The research aimed at determining the structure and composition of asbestos was carried out in the Materials Engineering Laboratory under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Eng. Stanisław Pytel.
The event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Eng. Iwona Wiewiórska, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences, Vice-Dean Dr Monika Golonka, Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Eng. Stanisław Pytel, MSc. Eng. Artur Sławecki – lecturer, Erasmus+ Programme Coordinator MSc. Anna Polek, MA, as well as students of the Engineering Faculty.
During the presentation, the student discussed selected aspects of the thesis, with particular emphasis on:
- local industrial conditions in the city of Nowy Sącz and accumulation asbestos products,
- investigations into the structure and composition of selected asbestos samples using SEM-EDS scanning electron microscopy.
The presented engineering thesis will next be presented and defended at the “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău.
